About Pastor RyanDr. Ryan Nielsen was born in 1973 in Colorado. He grew up in Longmont, Colorado. When he graduated, he moved to Southern California to attend Whittier College where he got his Bachelor of Arts in English/Literature. After graduating from Whittier College he attended Denver Seminary in Denver, Colorado where he got his Master of Arts in Youth and Family Ministry. Ryan was then hired as the Jr. High Youth Director at Irvine Presbyterian Church (back in Southern California) where he also attended Fuller Theological Seminary to get his Master of Divinity degree. One week after graduating with that degree, Ryan started in the Doctoral program. In 2010, Ryan Graduated with his Doctor of Ministry degree in Youth and Family Ministries.
God called Ryan into ministry when he was a Freshman in college. Ryan served for 23 years as a Youth Pastor in various locations in the United States, as well as in Canada and Denmark. In 2011 God called Ryan and his family to the town of Quincy, California for his wife's job as a teacher. Then, in 2014, God opened the door for Ryan to apply, interview, and ultimately get hired at First Baptist Church in Quincy, California. On September 26, 2021, First Baptist Church changed its name and officially became Quincy Community Church. Ryan is blessed to continue serving as Pastor at Quincy Community Church |
